I recently started making teething biscuits for Graham because they massage his gums and are also a great mid-afternoon snack for him!
We let him eat on them on his own until they get softer. We usually end up breaking them into 2 pieces and putting them in Munchkin’s Fresh Food Feeder so that we don’t have to worry about little pieces breaking off and the possibility of him swallowing them whole!
1 cup of Rice Cereal
1 cup of flour (I use whole wheat)
1 mashed banana
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3 tablespoons of Canola oil
Splash of vanilla extract
5 tablespoons water
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
Add in the rest of the ingredients. Mix all together until it is the consistency of dough.
Roll dough out 1/2 of an inch thick. Stamp out the dough using any cookie cutter. I have found that the metal cutters are much easier to work with.
Place cookies on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 16 – 20 minutes. I have found that 18 minutes works perfectly for me, but it depends on your oven!
If your baby is able to chew on their own, the Munchkin feeder wouldn’t be a necessity for you! I hope your baby enjoys these and helps with their teething. It sure has helped our G!
