During the Labor Day holiday, some of my best friends and I decided to take a quick trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas. We have loved hiking together since high school and we try our best to do some trip together each year. We wanted somewhere not too far away (last year we drove 14 hours to North Carolina!).
For those who love a little getaway, we thoroughly enjoyed out stay! We stayed in a VRBO house that had just been renovated and it is absolutely darling. I will link where we stayed here. It was the perfect location to be in.
I will breakdown what we did day by day.
The first day we spent in Hot Springs it was forecasted to rain so we decided to spend the day in the downtown area to do some shopping and exploring. Before we left it was so nice and cool outside. I think we all sat on the porch together with our coffee until about 9 A.M. It was literally my favorite time of day!
We started out with breakfast at The Pancake Shop. It was a bit of a hole-in-the-wall — if we wouldn’t have been looking for it, we probably would’ve passed it right up!
The bathhouses downtown are what Hot Springs is known for. They were so beautiful and we went inside the La Mar bathhouse where we found some AMAZING beauty products. We each bought something from the Hot Springs Natural line. Let me tell you…they smell amazing! We favored the Cleopatra’s Eye Cream and the Lemongrass Goat Milk Lotion.
After popping in a few shops to find beautiful pottery and stones, we stopped at Kollective, which is a small coffee shop that had some really good options.
That night, we made (and when I say we, I mean Madison – haha!) Gimlets and ate in together. Of course that meant more sitting on the balcony and playing cards. PERFECT!
Make sure to check out what we did on Day 2!
